Colorectal Cancer Screening Committee (CRC SC) Meeting

WEO’s Colorectal Cancer (CRC) Screening Committee focuses on the science and practice of colorectal cancer screening. The Committee Meeting, organized on a regular basis at international specialized conferences, brings together experts to address major issues and new advances in the field. The diverse profile of the participants, including scientists, physicians, screening program staff, and policy makers, guarantees in-depth discussions.

Advanced Diagnosis Endoscopy Course (ADEC)

The Advanced Diagnosis Endoscopy Course (ADEC) is aimed at improving diagnostic skills with the aid of high-definition endoscopes. The teaching method helps attendees to detect and assess minute abnormalities. They learn how to fine-tune their senses to focus on the essential elements required for successful diagnosis. The program is planned to maximize educational value and facilitate interactivity.

High Quality in Upper GI Endoscopy Course (High-Q)

The goal of the High Quality in Upper GI Endoscopy Course (High-Q) is to help participants advance their basic endoscopic skills and improve their diagnostic abilities by a comprehensive review of upper endoscopy quality parameters. The course is designed to enhance the exchange between faculty and attendees and it includes formats such as hands-on sessions, case discussions, Q&A, and quizzes.

WEO International School of EUS (WISE)

The WISE Case Conference is an extension to the current WEO International School of EUS (WISE) training program. It provides expert sessions to discuss interesting cases, difficult procedures, and how to perform EUS. It also allows for engagement with international experts and networking in order to share experiences and best practices in EUS.

Video Capsule Endoscopy (VCE) Training

Participants attending the Video Capsule Endoscopy (VCE) Training event can expect to learn how to use VCE procedures in daily practice with the goal of improving patient care. The course covers, among other topics, basic concepts, how to set up the system, use in diagnosing obscure bleeding and inflammatory small-bowel diseases, and how to create reports using Minimal Standard Terminology (MST).

Research Committee Workshop

The focus of the WEO Research Committee is to promote high quality research. In this workshop, recommended for endoscopists who are at an early stage in their career, participants will be exposed to essential topics in clinical research, such as: how to design studies; how to interpret data and publish results; the importance of research to advance patient care; statistical analysis; working with prototypes; and much more.
